OUR MISSION: CREATING A COMMUNITY NETWORK GROUP FOR THE YOUTH, BY MENTORING AND BUILDING COMMUNITY RELATIONS, AND EXPLORING OTHER ENVIRONMENTS.

A Community Nonprofit

MBK617 established as a youth summer program, where they would take approximately 20-30 boys (ages 8-18) on a weekly trip. The program takes them out every Sunday, for 8 weeks during the Summer, to participate in fun activities and relationship building.

Presently, MBK617 mainly operates in the Summer, but the organizers are working on a blueprint to expand this to a year-long program. Although the trips only take place during the Summer, the mentors are available year-round assisting with school, applying to programs, and job searches. they are working on fundraisers and regularly attending meetings within the municipality to help grow and expand MBK617 as a team.

MBK617 legacy. The goal of MBK617 is to develop and build an “MBK617 Community Center.” This would be a Social Enterprise, where MBK617 would generate revenue made from the community center to put back into MBK617 initiatives and programs. The space would also be used to help teach life skills, such as financial literacy, resume building, and college applications.
